Website privacy notice

The Anxiety and Trauma Clinic CC, trading as The Anxiety and Trauma Clinic, is responsible for personal information handled for the clinic's website and enquiry administration.

If you use the website enquiry form, the clinic receives the name, contact details, reply preference, enquiry category and brief message that you choose to provide. The form routes clinic enquiries to reception and professional, media, educational or Anchor-Based Approach enquiries to Dr Hanan.

The website form is not a patient intake form and does not accept file uploads. Please keep a first message brief and do not include a detailed clinical history, medical records or emergency information.

If you contact the clinic by WhatsApp, telephone or email, the clinic receives the information you choose to provide through that channel, together with the contact details needed to respond.

Enquiry information may be used to respond, identify an appropriate next step, arrange or administer an appointment, maintain necessary administrative records, and meet applicable professional or legal obligations.

Access is limited to the clinic and people who need the information to perform authorised reception, professional, administrative or technical services.

The public website does not use an AT Clinic patient portal, advertising pixels, cookies, visitor profiles, heatmaps or session replay. A small first-party measurement service keeps daily aggregate counts of approved page views, form activity and clicks on the clinic's WhatsApp, telephone and email links. It records only the approved page path, a broad page category, broad referral and device categories, a broad result category and the count. It does not record names, contact details, form contents, diagnoses, clinical information, search terms, full referring addresses, IP-address fields, browser identifiers or persistent identifiers.

These anonymous daily totals are kept for up to 24 months to assess whether the website is helping people find and contact the clinic. The enquiry form sends the details you submit by email to the selected clinic recipient and does not create a public website account or patient portal. The hosting and email providers may process ordinary technical records, such as IP address, browser details, requested pages and timestamps, to deliver and secure the website and message.

Links to WhatsApp, email, Google Maps, LinkedIn, Instagram, TikTok, Spotify and Apple Podcasts open services operated by other organisations. Their own privacy terms apply when you use them. Some providers may process information outside South Africa under their own arrangements.

Information is kept only for as long as reasonably needed for the relevant enquiry, administration, professional record or legal purpose. The applicable period depends on the nature of the interaction and any record-keeping obligation.
